NYAOPE ADDICTS STEAL LCD TV FROM JOE MAFELA’S TOMBSTONE FOR POWDER USED FOR NYAOPE IN THE TV

Dependence on the drug nyaope is so great that some addicts will steal from cemeteries to ensure their next fix.

This is the sad reality that family and friends of the dearly departed TV star Joe Mafela woke up to on Thursday morning. Westpark Cemetery is a large cemetery in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is the resting place of some of the country’s well-known citizens including Joe Mafela. Despite security at Westpark Cemetery, there has been an incident of fencing being broken down on Thursday.

Speaking to News Daily, Executive Mayor of Johannesburg Herman Mashaba said the suspects were, for the large part, believed to be nyaope addicts because they stole the big screen TV on Joe Mafela’s tombstone.

“We believe that nyaope addicts broke into Westpark Cemetery to steal the big screen Tv on Joe Mafela’s tombstone to extract the powder inside the TV and use it to manufacture nyaope,” added the mayor.

In addition to Joe Mafela’s big screen Tv being stolen, the palisades from the fence were also stolen. And it is believed they were stolen for the sole purpose of selling the steel from the palisade to scrap metal dealers for cash.

Nyaope can be bought for between R30 and R50 a portion depending on the type. It consists of a mixture of marijuana, ARV tablets, methamphetamine or heroin and household products like powders inside flat screen TV’s Vim cleaning agent. It is highly addictive.

The tombstone has since been temporarily removed.
