Willard Katsande badly beaten and left bleeding out by the road


Former Kaizer Chiefs player was mercilessly beaten up by a thug and left bleeding by the road.

Katsande was travelling home after making his debut for his new club Sekhukhune United against Chippa United on Saturday when he was violently attacked in Roodepoort.

Exclusive videos and Pictures reveal the damage to Katsande's car and the aftermath of the attack.

The 35 year old immediately opened a case of assault and malicious damage to property at the Honeydew Police Station.

A man driving a Ford EcoSport is believed to be the assailant in the incident which took place on the corner of Hendrick Potgieter and Peter road.

Investigations into the case are now underway, although the suspect immediately fled the scene.

Church leader accused of witchcraft and owning the monkey that crashed while flying on a broom in Bolobedu

 


The community of Ga-Mokwakwaila in Bolobedu, Limpopo is up in arms threatening to kill their local church leader. The Bishop of the church is accused of witchcraft and owning the monkey that crashed while flying on a broom.

The monkey which was wearing traditional regalia, armed with a knife and safety pin(sepelete) crashed at Motseo household's fence in Ga-Mokwakwaila, Bolobedu. 

Since the incident, local residents have been threatening to kill the local church accusing him of owning the monkey. The man of the house where the monkey crashed passed away recently and his wife has been accused of witchcraft and conspiring with the Bishop.

After hearing all this, Grace Motseo finally decided to speak out. During her statement to Tzaneen voice, Grace made it clear that the monkey does not belong to the bishop. 

Grace said she is based in Gauteng but immediately after hearing about the monkey that was found at her home, she asked Bishop Ramalepe to go fetch it because he is a spiritual person. Grace further said that she recently lost her husband and the community is adding salt to the fresh wound by accusing her and the Bishop of witchcraft. 

She pleaded with the community to stop harassing Bishop Ramalepe. She further asked those that are accusing her of witchcraft which led to the death of her husband to stop because she and her Bishop do not know anything about the monkey.

Woman gives birth to a baby that looks 80yrs old In eLibode Eastern Cape

 


A woman from eLibode, Eastern Cape got the shock of her life when she gave birth to a baby that looks like an old man!

Pictures of the baby have been trending online and after seeing them, we took it upon ourselves to find out more about the bundle of joy!

After intense research, we found that the baby suffers from Progeria Syndrome.

Progeria syndrome is a genetic disease that makes babies age at a higher rate.

Most uneducated social media have been making fun of the child and by creating memes and jokes out of the condition.

Tips to help you get that summer body faster

 



It's that time of the year. People have been secretly working on their summer bodies all winter long and now they are showing off the results. But not everyone has been preparing for this "show your skin season!"

For those that are not prepared for summer, we will be discussing ways to lose weight quickly on this article.

First thing we are going to advice you to do is to stop consuming sugars and starches. We know it's not easy but nothing worth having is easy to easy to obtain, and a summer body is definitely worth having! But this can be done with a low carb diet. 

The first step is knowing what foods are low card. And we have prepare a list.

  • lean meats, such as sirloin, chicken breast, or pork
  • fish
  • eggs
  • leafy green vegetables
  • cauliflower and broccoli
  • spinach and cabbage
  • tomatoes
  • cucumber
  • lettuce
  • nuts and seeds, including nut butter
  • oils, such as coconut oil, olive oil, and rapeseed oil
  • some fruit, such as apples, blueberries, and strawberries
  • unsweetened dairy products including plain whole milk and plain plain yogurt.

One of the contributing factors to gaining weight is always eating. Some people just can't resist the urge to snack at all time. We recommend low carb snacks.

Low-carb snack options for between meals include:

  • hard boiled eggs
  • unsweetened yogurt

  • handful of nuts
  • cheese

It is essential to regulate portion size of any snacks to avoid overeating.

Your body still requires healthy fats no matter what eating plan you choose. So we recommend healthy fats such as Olive oil and avocado oil.

Monkey flying on a broom crashes in Limpopo Bolobedu, Ga-Mokwakwaila


A family in Ga-Mokwakwaila, Bolobedu in Limpopo woke up to find that a monkey flying on a broom had crashed in their yard.

LImpopo is known for it's witchcraft stories but there has never really been evidence of such until recently. This is after a family in Bolobedu woke up to find that a monkey dressed in what seems like traditional attire had crashed on their fence while flying on a broom. What's even more shocking is that the monkey was armed with a knife.

It is not clear what the knife was for but there has been speculations online. Some people believe that the monkey's intentions was was to murder one of the family members.

One person said he thought maybe witches fight for routes while flying up there and the knife was to fight other associations like taxi drivers do. 

Another user said "maybe the monkey is guilty of drink and flying hence it crashed."

Another one said "People got to understand nature, not everything ke boloi. The place is a natural habitat of vervet 🐒 the happened to have visited human settlements serveral times and as we know monkeys they could've stole those cloth on washing line in the other sections of settlements."

Losing weight requires one to change their lifestyle and adapt a new lifestyle which which will contribute positively towards their weight loss journey. This includes but not limited to "a healthy lifestyle", A healthy lifestyle is actually the best thing you can do for yourself and your family because not only will it help you lose weight but a healthy lifestyle helps prevent and manage chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke and cancer.

But a healthy lifestyle can be expensive. But in this article we will be giving you tips to help you lose weight without spending a lot of money!

One of the most affordable ways to lose weight is to remove red meat from your grocery list. Protein-rich meals are an important part of your weight loss journey but it doesn't necessarily have to be red meat, there are much more cheaper and healthier options such as chicken, fish, eggs, nuts, beans and pulses.

One of the most affordable and efficient diet plans is to have one meatless day per week. I know most of you love meat but it is no secret that meat is quite expensive so consider having atleast two vegetarian meals per week. Vegetables such as beans and lentils are not only cheap but they are also rich in protein, nutritious, easy to prepare and taste great.

Fish is also a great source of protein which is essential for your weight loss journey. But fresh fish is quite expensive, therefore we are going to opt for tinned fish such as pilchards or tuna, as long as it is tinned in water and not oils as it is much healthier. Most times frozen fish is cheaper than fresh fish so always compare prices. You might ask yourself how am i going to fit tinned fish in my affordable diet meals, making your own fishcakes can be very economical and they are also quite delicious. We will post a recipe for fishcakes with tinned fish for those that don't know how to prepare the dish.

If you are a sandwich lover then my advice to you is this, don't buy tinned meat and processed frozen meat such as polony, salami and viennas as they are high in fat and sodium making them unhealthy for you and your diet journey. Alternatively, use tinned fish and left over chicken for sandwiches and salads.

When you go shopping for the above mentioned products that will help you lose weight on a low budget, follow the tips below:

  1. Make a shopping list and stick to it. Never give in to the urge to buy something that is not on the list.
  2. Take a calculator with you, it will help you stick to your budget.
  3. Never go shopping when you are hungry.
  4. Plan a week's menu in advance and buy accordingly, this will also help you take advantage of weekly specials.
  5. Always compare prices. Go through all the shelves in the supermarket if you have to because they always put expensive items at eye level where they are easy to find and hide the cheaper items.
  6. Avoid wasting food by cooking just enough food so that you don't have to throw away food.
  7. Pack your own healthy lunch to work and avoid the cafeteria, that place is bad for your wallet and your waistline.
  8. Stay away from the convenience food part of the store, it contains food that are not only expensive but will make you fat as well. Food such as soda, cookies, processed foods and pre-packaged meals.
  9. if you can't go without snacking then snack on freshly cut fruits and vegetables. You can also buy large packets of raisins, nuts or dried fruits.
Another way to save money on vegetables is to start your own vegetable garden in your own backyard.

CONSIDERING THE CHALLENGE?

Prior to commencing a purposeful change to your diet, you should first understand your regular eating routine by tracking everything you eat and drink for a week.

You can track your usual percentages of carbohydrates, proteins and fats with an online food diary, or check out our suggestions for some great food tracking apps in our 21 Day Challenge Guide

We recommend that you follow the plan exactly as it is, especially the prescribed amounts of vegetables and water and eating at the regular intervals. And, if you can’t live without carbs, eat some; just make sure that they’re whole, unprocessed and nutrient rich.

We recommend you eat four meals a day. And every meal should contain:

  • Protein – one palmful of animal protein, that includes; fish, chicken, turkey, duck, pork, beef, lamb, shellfish and eggs AND
  • Fat – a thumb size, focusing on getting in your essential fatty acids like; avocado, olive oil, walnuts and flaxseeds AND
  • Carbohydrates – one to two handfuls of low-starch carbs such as asparagus, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, leafy greens, raw carrots, onions, tomatoes and eggplant.

When your meal is a protein shake we suggest you use only a simple, protein source and water. Women should have .01 ounces/.3 grams per kg of body weight. Men should have .02 ounces/.5 grams per kg of body weight.

What to drink? Take your body weight in kg and multiply by 0.033 litres of water per day, then add an extra glass for every hour of exercise. You can also drink herbal tea, black tea or black coffee (with no sweeteners).

Foods to avoid? Dairy products, grains including oats, polenta, rice and couscous, wheat, fruit, legumes, starchy vegetables and soy apart from Tamari.
